Faith Hill and Tim McGraw in Nashville

Hundreds of country music fans braved a hot Nashville day to venture into downtown to catch a glimpse of country music stars Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw. The GRAMMY-winning artists received stars on the Music City Walk of Fame during an induction ceremony in Walk of Fame Park. They received the 73rd and 74th stars on the Walk of Fame. Inductees are recognized for their significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and for contributing to the world through song or other industry collaboration. The ceremony is always free and open to the public.

Musician David Anderson kept the fans "cool" by playing hit-country classics on his guitar. And after a few words from Mayor Megan Barry, country music superstar Reba McEntire introduced both artists, who received personal miniature stars before posing next to their sidewalk stars. Faith was first at the podium as she reminisced about the early days of her career and when she first met her husband Tim. After a few kind words to her fans, Faith then posed for photographers and news cameras next to her star. Tim joined Faith at her star although he hadn't received his, yet!

Reba McEntire had nice words to say about Tim McGraw as she prepared to introduce him. Reba also talked about the special music relationship she has with the both of them. Tim mentioned that he rarely speaks, but thanked everyone for their support and for coming out. After receiving his miniature star, Tim posed at his sidewalk star for the media. Faith and Reba later joined him for media photos. After the event was over, Faith walked over to the barricades and shook hand with fans and personally thanked them for their support. Tim on the other hand, ran towards the fans and high-fived them as he made his way around the inner barricades inside the park.
