Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois May 31, 2010

This was my first opportunity to photograph President Barack Obama! The occasion was the President delivering a speech on Memorial Day. There was mention of a threat of rain, but things seemed to be going well during the early part of the program. But as the afternoon was approaching, the clouds got grayer and the skies opened...here comes the rain. The President had just landed right before the downpour started. But because of thunder, lightning and a mild wind, the President addressed the crowd and announced that everyone go for shelter. He said that if the rain stopped, the program would continue. Needless to say...the rain never stopped.
